Dan Rutherford
Studio Coach & Director / Owner
Dan studied jazz dance extensively from the age of five through his late teens.
At that time he began a career in ballroom and Latin dance. Dan has produced numerous champions throughout his career as a teacher and coach.
Dan has also danced on stage with numerous celebrities as a back up, chorus line and principal dancer in many productions. Dan is one of the top professionals in the United States.
Larry and I attended a coaching session with Dan at the Fred Astaire Studio located in Atascocita (Houston), Texas.
What a wonderful time was had by all! Dan has the ability to match his words with his movement and having it all make sense. Larry particularly benefited from Dan’s talks and left with a better understanding of his part in leading his lady.
The swing group lesson was a happening in that Dan broke the swing down and then took those blocks and built it back up – you would have thought it was a dance we had been doing for years! Thank you Dan for everything and hope to see you again soon in the Houston area.

I really enjoyed the coachings at Fred Astaire Kingwood with Dan and Nicole.
As a woman, Nicole left me in awe. I think the moves with her upper body are not physiologically possible.
Anyway, thanks for serving as an inspiration.
